2013 demo from Australian 2-piece Grindcore band Shitgrinder. Hair trigger snap snare Grindcore fury,  seared sides of power chord annihilation underpinned by masterfully recorded drums that cut through just right. The drumming is devastatingly effective, crafted to summon those fist banging destroy-your-living room transitions from one foot blast beat heat to half time thrash, the Guitar is thick and crushing, the vocal tears from shriek High to blurted grunt lows. Really good production, perfectly loud and distorted. Sick, punk, blasting Grindcore. This demo is awesome back to front.

CANNIBAL RITUAL – ‘PUNISHMENT OF THE YACUMOS’

Bloodthirsty Harsh Noise Wall from the cannibal master out of Germany, released in 2013. Cannibal film inspired project, rumbling static walls to conjure images of headhunters in the burning green inferno, roaring fires destroying riverside settlements. Creepy, cinematic walls of flicker flame static, low noise scrape and cruel machete ritual intent. Both tracks are long, sweltering and unmoving. Pale flesh to be torn asunder… rip their fuckin guts!!

MEPHITIC CORPSE – ‘IMMENSE THICKENING VOMIT’

Immensely thick vomit from the States. Putrid, super heavy Death Metal carnage. Great USDM demo sound, gory and nascent early 90’s Brutal Death Metal, bludgeoning and totally sick. Blasts as well as mid paced crusher blunt parts, vomitous rumble of Bass sounds, belching low growl vocal of obscurity, with fat mucous dripping riffs. ‘Truly fucking ugly and deformed shit’. Yep. Blasting, gory, lo-fi. Disgusting and completely crucial.
